Miguel Capitão is the Head of Technical Architecture at Deutsche Bank, where he leads the design and evolution of large-scale platforms across the bank’s global technology landscape. His areas of focus include Cloud technologies and their adoption, the safe use of AI at scale, and good old-fashioned software engineering design, construction and testing practices.
With more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, Miguel brings deep expertise spanning software engineering, enterprise architecture, and strategic technology transformation. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2020, Miguel held senior roles at Morgan Stanley, RBS, and UBS, including Global Finance Technical Architect and Global CTO for Finance, Risk, Treasury and Data Services. Throughout his career, he has led complex transformation initiatives across critical financial domains, combining strong technical foundations with strategic insight.
